CDPAP

Enjoy the Care of your Friends and Family.

The Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP) is available to Medicaid Eligible Consumers as a self-directed homecare program. As personal assistants require no HHA certification, those in need of home care services – and capable of directing their own care – can select a friend, neighbor, aide or even a family member as their Personal Assistant.

CDPAP Features many Client Benefits

CDPAP empowers individuals to reclaim independence and comfort, and gain control over their own care. They can choose who to employ, then hire, train, supervise and (if necessary) dismiss their personal assistants. They thus maintain total freedom of choice in setting their care schedule and directing how and when their care plan is managed.

Utilizing CDPAP is Quite Straightforward.

1. Your Medicaid Managed Care provider assesses your situation to determine your CDPAP eligibility and eligible number of weekly care hours. 2. You get to choose anyone as your PA (excluding a parent, spouse, or designated representative). 3. Once you’ve designated your PA(s), they enroll with Caring Professionals Assistance to get started.
